The Seattle Times is running a great series on the WASL right here. This year is the first year that the 10th graders taking the test will be required to pass it in order to graduate high school...

my class was the first to test out the WASL for the "future use" to determine graduation... not to mention iron out the many mistakes on the test. i remember thinking having it be required was still years away. oy, i feel old =P
Angela- heh, wait until you get to tell that to your kids someday when you teach!

then again, mine will probably think i'm a dinosaur since i never had to take one at all... haha.
