kindergarten conflict resolution
So when you were young, how did you deal with conflict or stress? Most kids usually fall into certain categories: you got your kids who cry (like the kid i mentioned before); you got your kids who hit/fight; you got your kids who talk back/insult (which is what I'd always do being the young smart-ass I was); etc. Yesterday though, I witnessed a new method of kindergarten conflict resolution: ...mooning. Yep, the kid was in an argument with another kid and he just straight up turned around, bent over, and dropped his pants. What made the situation even more bizarre was that it happened in the middle of recess, outside in the cold (it is winter time after all here in Seattle). I can laugh about it now, but at the time, I think I was more shocked than anything. After another teacher ran over and made him pull up his pants, he was taken to the principal's office. Apparently, this isn't the first time that he's busted out the twin cheeks to show defiance. Oh man, what are people teaching their kids nowadays anyway? *shakes head* I guess as a student teacher, I really have seen just about everything... literally. .:. The weather forecast keeps prophesizing doom and gloom, saying it's going to snow. Well, the spirits of snowfall may be hovering over the waters, but I'm not so convinced. One thing's for certain, though... my commute is still going to suck. The only thing that gets me through the about 50 minute morning drive is a few minutes of NPR and a lot of music from the GarPOD. Recently a song I've been humming alot: a cover by Frankie J. of the classic song, "More Than Words" that G-Sak gave me the heads up on... saying I love you is not the words I want to hear from you it's not that I want you not to say, but if you only knew how easy it would be to show me how you feel more than words is all you have to do to make it real Then you wouldn't have to say that you love me 'casue I'd already know... How true it is. You can download a taste right here (right click + save as). |
